I know its been a while...

We have been very busy here at Home Sweet Home Rescue and haven't really kept up with this blog. Sorry about that :) We have a bunch of events coming up over the next few months. Please check out our events page at homesweethomerescue.org Also, find us on FaceBook!


We are having a great summer here at HSH Rescue BUT are in dire need of foster families. We need dedicated people who are willing to foster adult dogs as well as puppies. Please fill out a foster application if you are interested in learning more.

Spay/Neuter Fundraiser Challenge!!

I challenge everyone to skip out on 1 day of Tim Hortons, Dunkin Donuts, a fast food meal, or that couple beers after work. Just for one day. Take that $5-$10 and donate it. Please help us raise the few thousand dollars we need over the next 60 days for spay and neuters o...f the 11 (so far) dogs here at HSH Rescue that need it. Here is what you can do....Call City Creatures Animal Hospital at 716-873-7000 and tell them you would like to make a donation to (Vicki Zoeller) Home Sweet Home Animal Rescue. They will take a credit/debit card over the phone. You can also send them a check, made out to them, with a note that it is for Home Sweet Home Animal Rescue. Be sure to also include my name (Vicki Zoeller). Their address is 2113 Delaware Ave, Buffalo, NY 14216. OR you can mail us a check/money order to the above P.O. Box but still make it out to City Creatures. OR you can go through my personal paypal (we don't have a rescue account yet) its vicki399@yahoo.com for the paypal address. You can even hand it to me personally lol. Every penny we raise will go straight into our account at the vet. This way, you can be assured your coffee money goes right to the spay/neuters!! I know its hard giving up that coffee in the morning, or those few beers, but I promise you, the dogs will forever be thankful and you will be ending the new year with another good deed tucked under your belt :) EVERYONE here at HSH Rescue dares you to accept this challange!! Luke and Bobby are pending adoption:) The halloween kittens are here and doing great. All 6 are black with green eyes and range from 8 weeks-4 months old. Let me know if interested in adopting one of the cuties:)

Just wanted to post a quick update now that I have a minute to breath :)

Having a BUSY, BUSY weekend here at HSH Rescue!!! Brandon and Aimee were both adopted by wonderful families!! Dory has a touch of kennel cough, so she won't be ready for any meet and greets until next weekend :( Luke and Bobby, as well as, 6 black kittens (in honor of Halloween) will be arriving tomorrow. Luke and Bobby already have pre-approved families waiting patiently for them to arrive.



Merlin was adopted!! Yipee!!! Dustin is still looking but thats okay...only the best home will do!

We have some home visits for tonight!! Dustin and Merlin will hopefully be going to their forever homes :) PAWS CROSSED!!!

Brother and sister, Brandon and Aimee arrived last night. They are sweet Lab/Border Collie/Shep mixes. Approx 3 1/2 months old and complete bundles of puppy love :)  You can click on the link to the right to apply for them!! Brandon is the 1st pic. Aimee is the 2nd :)

    -Have bags of bottles/can just laying around collecting dust? Just don't feel like standing in line to return all those bottles? Home Sweet Home will gladly take them for you. Please donate all your cans/bottles to help raise money for needed supplies like crates, collars, leashes, cat/dog food, toys, flea meds, etc.....Contact us for drop off locations.

Many of you have asked what you could do to help our rescue. We could use many things here at HSH Rescue. We need cat food (hard), cat litter, dog and cat flea meds, dog toys, collars/leashes, blankets, monetary donations, gift cards to pet stores/walmart/tractor supply, office supplies (folders, printer ink, copy paper), just about anything you can think of that a rescue would use. We operate solely on donations and we are running on zero right now. With some of these items being donated, we could use the money saved to pay vet bills.
